Design A

1. Using the selection tool , click on the text button .

2. In the box marked Text, type in TIGERS.
Hint: Most of the fonts contain upper case letters
only so it’s not necessary to type in all caps.
Only Brush Script, Cooper, Dom Casual, Excalibur, Fansilla, Freestyle, Kabarett and Old English contain both upper
and lower case letters.

3. In the box marked Font, click open and scroll down the box to select Full Block.

4. In the box marked Size, click open and scroll down the box to select 3 (inches).
Hint: The sizes that you see pertain only to the selected font.
Different fonts offer different size selections. The size (in inches)
refers to the height of the foreground piece.

5. Choose Text line by clicking on the button or the word.

6. Choose Backgrounds by clicking on either the word or the check box.

7. Click on Apply. TIGERS should come up on the screen.

8. Proceed to Select a stitch and Create a disk in this tutorial.

NOTE: When sewing overlapping pieces of appliqué, refer to Layers guidelines.
