Design F & G

1. Follow steps 1-6 for Layout F. (For one-color, omit step 6.)

2. Select the Perpendicular checkbox, then click on Apply.

3. Select the word, using the Text Tool and clicking on any letter. Two “handles” appear, one each on the lower right and lower left of the word.

4. Position the point of the cursor on one of the handles, click and drag the line into a diagonal. Release the mouse button.

5. For Layout G, switch back to the Selection Tool , select the word, then return to the Text Tool button .

6. Uncheck the perpendicular check box, leaving the remaining information the same. Apply.

7. Center the design by selecting the Green button .

8. Proceed to Select a Stitch and Create a Disk in this tutorial.

NOTE: When sewing overlapping pieces of appliqué, refer to Layers guidelines.
