A1) Placement / Outline stitch
sews first to show where to place the appliqué piece. |

A2) Place appliqué to cover the
placement / outline stitch using embroidery spray adhesive on back
of appliqué. |

A3) Sew appliqué with zig zag
stitch. |
 |
|
A4) If appliqué has second color
/ layer, repeat steps 1, 2 and 3. |

|
A5) Finished 2-color appliqué. |

B1) Placement / Outline stitch

tack down stitch to hold in place. |

Program Thread and Sewing Color Sequence for an
Appliqué |

|
1) Load sew disk. |
|
|
2) Select the
first color (placement stitch) to be the same color as the appliqué
piece. |
|
|
3) Place a stop to allow for
placement of the appliqué piece and use the "off set" or "hoop feed"
feature to move hoop out from under the needles for placement. |
|
|
4) Select the
color for zig zag stitch or tack down if using satin stitch. |
|

|
|
• You have finished if you are
only sewing a 1-color appliqué. |
|
|
• If applying a satin stitch, select the
color for the finishing satin stitch. |
|
|
• If applying a second color / layer,
repeat steps 1, 2, 3 and 4. |
